This blog is going into temporary hiatus tomorrow. Michelle and I are going to a fairly remote island for a ten-day break, with a few extra days on either side in slow transit. They don’t have the internet anywhere near it. I’ll be back about October 3, hopefully not to a cupboard full of spam.
As with any holiday, a certain degree of planning is required. Accordingly we have drawn up a division of labour so that we know exactly who is responsible for what while we are away, and nothing gets left undone. I think you’ll agree, it’s fairly thorough.
Steve’s duties include but are not limited to:
- Organizing the luggage
- Keeping the bungalow clean and tidy
- Cooking, and organizing food and supplies
- Negotiating with local people about entrance fees, costs of transport etc.
- Applying sunscreen
- Giving massages
- Waiting patiently when not in use
- Fishing (recreational)
Michelle’s duties are:
- Looking at the sunset
- Lying in the hammock
- Receiving massages
- Having orgasms
As you can see Michelle has a few more responsibilities than I do, but it was impossible to get things exactly even. Instead the tasks were grouped according to aptitude.
Anyway, both of us will be enjoying life in the next week and a half. And that is what it’s for, right?
